Bulwark Plumbing handles commercial plumbing for restaurants, retail, offices, churches, small industrial and multifamily buildings across DFW. Grease line jetting, backflow testing, water heater banks and fixture programs, with repairs scheduled around your operating hours.
Bulwark Plumbing does commercial plumbing for restaurants, retail stores, offices, churches, small industrial buildings and multifamily properties in 52 cities around our Grapevine shop. The work includes grease line jetting, backflow testing, water heater banks, fixture programs, drains, leaks and gas.
Repairs are scheduled around your operating hours, the same technicians come back each visit wherever we can manage it, every job is priced in writing before work starts, and the line is answered 24 hours a day.
Our commercial plumbing work is built for buildings where a plumbing problem stops a business, a service or a household of tenants, not just a single family. That covers six kinds of property, and each one fails in its own way.
The commercial plumbing technicians who come out are Bulwark employees working under Texas license 47173. We do not subcontract, and your call is never sold on to another company.
Every commercial plumbing call follows the same five steps, whether it is a single restroom or a kitchen line that closed in the middle of a lunch rush.

If water is coming through a ceiling or a floor drain is backing up, call now. For planned commercial plumbing work, book a window online and have it confirmed on the spot.
Restaurant commercial plumbing is mostly about grease. Fats and oils go down the kitchen drain warm and set on the pipe wall as they cool, narrowing the line until something catches and the floor drains back up. Cabling punches a hole through that coating. Hydro jetting removes it from the pipe wall, which is why grease line jetting is the core of our restaurant work.
After the line is clean, we camera it so you can see what is left and how the pipe itself is holding up. The rate at which a kitchen line coats again depends on your menu and volume, so the camera, not a generic schedule, is the honest basis for how often the line should be jetted. We schedule that commercial plumbing work before service or after close wherever we can, so the kitchen keeps cooking.
Beyond grease lines, restaurant calls cover hand sinks, mop sinks, floor drains, dish machine supply and drain, and the water heaters that keep hot water at the sinks. For the difference between the two drain methods, read hydro jetting vs. a drain snake, or see our hydro jetting service.
A backflow assembly is a valve that stops water from a building, an irrigation system or a fire line from flowing backward into the public water supply. Many commercial properties have one, and the water utility or city sets when it must be tested and where the results are sent.
Backflow testing is part of our commercial plumbing work. If an assembly fails its test, we price the repair in writing before doing it, the same as any other job. If you are not sure whether your building has an assembly or when it is due, call and we will tell you what to look for. Phone advice is free.
Larger restaurants, churches and multifamily buildings often run several water heaters together as a bank. Commercial plumbing on a bank starts with finding which unit has failed and why, because one heater out of service puts extra load on every other one.
North Texas water is hard, and scale shortens water heater life. Our rule of thumb is the same one we use on homes. A heater under about eight years old with a failed element, thermostat or valve is usually worth repairing. Past about twelve years, leaking from the tank itself, or rusting at the base, it should be replaced. Where both repair and replacement are legitimate, you get both prices.
Water heater installs carry our two year labor warranty, manufacturer warranties are registered in the owner’s name, and we pull the permit where the city requires one. For more detail see water heater repair and water heater replacement.
A fixture program is a planned way of handling the toilets, urinals, faucets, flush valves and sinks across a building, instead of waiting for each one to fail and calling about it separately. Offices, churches, retail and multifamily properties are where commercial plumbing benefits most from that approach, because the same fixtures wear out on the same schedule.
In practice, a commercial plumbing fixture program means we walk the building, note which fixtures are leaking, running or worn, and give you a written price for the work. You decide what gets done and when, and we schedule it around your hours. Fixture installs carry our two year labor warranty, and manufacturer warranties are registered in your name.
Yes, wherever the job allows. Commercial plumbing work that would shut a restroom, a kitchen or a water supply is planned for the hours that disturb the fewest people: before opening, after close, or on the day the building is quiet. You tell us when the building runs, and we schedule around it.
The exception is anything actively leaking or backing up. That goes to the 24/7 line and is handled right away. After hours, weekend and holiday rates are quoted on the call before anyone is sent, so the cost of coming at night is never a surprise on the invoice.
Because a plumber who already knows the building finds the cleanouts, shutoffs, water heaters and problem lines in minutes instead of an hour. We send the same technicians each visit wherever we can, so your commercial plumbing history stays with the people doing the work.
Our commercial plumbing technicians are employed by Bulwark and work under our license. No subcontractor arrives in an unmarked truck, and your call is never sold as a lead. When the camera finds something, the footage is yours, and the same person who recorded it can explain it.
On a commercial plumbing call, a sewer problem usually shows up first at the lowest fixture: a floor drain, a ground floor restroom or a kitchen drain backing up when the rest of the building is busy. When more than one fixture backs up at once, the blockage is almost always in the main.
Our commercial plumbing process for drains is the same as on any main line. We cable the line open, camera it to find why it closed, and then price the fix. In older DFW buildings the cause is often cast iron drain pipe, which was standard until about 1970 and is now past its service life, or clay sewer that takes roots at the joints. Blackland Prairie clay also moves slabs, and a sewer line under a moving slab can sag into a belly that holds waste.
See drain cleaning, sewer camera inspection and sewer line repair for each step in detail.
Yes. Leak detection on a commercial plumbing call uses acoustic and pressure equipment to find the leak before anything is opened, and anything under the slab gets a recorded location so the repair starts in the right place. Copper in the slab work-hardens and wears pinholes over time, which is common in older buildings here.
Commercial plumbing gas work covers pressure testing, leak repair and new runs for kitchens, water heaters and equipment, with permits pulled where the city requires them. If anyone smells gas, get everyone out of the building first, call the gas utility from outside, and call us once it is safe. More on leak detection and gas line repair.
Every commercial plumbing job is priced in writing before it starts. We do not publish a commercial plumbing price list, because the price depends on the building, the access and the repair, and a figure that would not hold is worse than none. Here is what you can rely on:
Bulwark Plumbing works under Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners license 47173, with Jared J. Allen as Responsible Master Plumber. We carry general liability and workers compensation insurance through Travelers Indemnity, and we pull permits and schedule inspections wherever the city requires them, including gas work, sewer replacement, repipes and water heaters.
Warranty terms are written down: one year on labor as a baseline, two years on water heater and fixture installs, and three years on repipes and sewer or water line replacement. Drain cleaning is the one exception, because no plumber can honestly promise a line will not refill while the cause is still in it. Our commercial plumbing service area is 52 cities within roughly 25 miles of the Grapevine shop at 720 Industrial Blvd, across Dallas, Tarrant, Denton and Collin counties.
Restaurants, retail stores, offices, churches, small industrial buildings and multifamily properties across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The work runs from grease line jetting and backflow testing to water heater banks, fixture programs, drain and sewer problems, leaks and gas lines.
Yes, wherever the job allows. We plan commercial plumbing repairs around your operating hours, so a restaurant line can be jetted before service or after close and an office restroom can be worked on when the floor is empty. Anything actively flooding is handled right away on the 24/7 line.
Yes. Backflow testing is part of our commercial plumbing work, along with repair of assemblies that fail. Your water utility or city sets when the test is due and where the results go, and we can tell you on the phone what your building's assembly needs.
It depends on the volume of cooking and how much grease reaches the line, so there is no single schedule that fits every kitchen. A camera inspection shows how fast the line coats, and that is the honest basis for setting a hydro jetting interval for your kitchen.
We send the same commercial plumbing technicians each visit wherever we can, so the people working on your building already know where the cleanouts, shutoffs and water heaters are. They are Bulwark employees working under Texas license 47173, never subcontractors.
Yes. We pull permits and schedule inspections wherever the city requires them, including gas work, sewer replacement, repipes and water heater replacement. The permit and inspection are part of the written price, not an extra added later.

Every commercial plumbing job gets a written flat price that you approve before work starts, and the invoice matches it. The diagnostic fee is quoted on the phone before anyone is sent and credited in full if you go ahead. After hours rates are disclosed on the call.
